About Parenting Monaghan

Parenting Monaghan is a partnership hosted by Monaghan Integrated Development which brings together parent support agencies from across the county to co-ordinate parenting programmes and supports.

Parenting Monaghan which was established in 2017 benefits from a collaborative approach to the provision of parent supports in the county. Its steering group is drawn from representatives from a broad range of services and backgrounds involved in supporting parenting at different stages and ages and include; HSE Public Health Nursing Services, Childcare Committee County Monaghan, Youth Work Ireland, Tusla Child and Family Network Coordinator, Tusla Children and Young Peoples Services Committee, Teach Na Daoine Family Resource Centre, Monaghan County Libraries, Cavan Monaghan Education Training Board, HSE Mental Health Services, National Childcare Network and Monaghan Integrated Development.

The Parenting Monaghan hub is an on line focal point for parents to easily access information on local supports. The workings of this on line hub are overseen by the Parenting Monaghan steering committee and coordinator.

The aim of this hub is to improve outcomes for parents and families by sharing information, providing support, promoting parental participation and organising events to support parents. Parents and families can contact us if they feel they need support or are unsure what services are out there for them and their children.
